() A video posted on YouTube Sunday apparently shows Hawthorne, Calif., police officers arresting a man for “obstructing” a nearby barricade situation with loud music coming from his car and then fatally shooting the man’s dog.

The undated video shows a man, identified as Leon Rosby, 52, driving up to what appears to be a police barricade in Hawthorne and then proceeding to videotape the scene.

“Attorney Michael Gulden said his client Leon Rosby was watching and taking video of the Hawthorne SWAT team when police claimed Rosby was obstructing officers during the barricade,”CBS Los Angeles reports.

Rosby is shown in the video walking his dog near several police cars while he holds his phone up and records officers’ actions. The dog appears to be a Rottweiler.

After talking back and forth with a pair of police officers, Rosby is heard saying, “civil rights violation” before returning the dog to his car.

The officers were apparently upset because the music coming form Rosby’s car was too loud and he didn’t immediately turn the volume down.

“It’s distracting the officers. It’s interfering with what they are able to hear,” Hawthorne Police Lt. Scott Swain reportedly said. “It’s not just a party call. It’s an armed robbery call. The officers need to hear what’s going on with the people being called out of the residence. That music in his car is bleeding over and it’s distracting them.”
