Kansas City Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie joined Jay Mohr Sports on Thursday coming off Aroldis Chapman getting hit in the head by a line drive and we asked him if pitchers really think about it on the mound.

Mohr: With what happened to Aroldis Chapman last night, how do not have that in your head every time you throw a ball from the mound?

Guthrie: I think probably not thinking about it is a good way to approach it. You will see a few pitchers recoil after they delivered the pitch out of defense. Maybe they’ve been hit, maybe they haven’t, but it’s definitely one of those things that it happens to you, you’re going to be gun shy and it’s going to take a tremendous adjustment period for you to get comfortable back on the mound.
