Five more arrested after violent protest at Iowa Capitol

DES MOINES, Iowa- Des Moines Police have arrested five more people, after a violent protest at the State Capitol building this week, in which several police officers were assaulted.

Police say one of those arrested, 26-year-old Alexandria Dea, was recorded grabbing a police officer's radio and throwing it out of his reach.

Police say Dea also reached into the officer's pocket and took a document that contained intelligence data, which was later aired in a media broadcast. The data is protected under Iowa law. Dea is charged with Theft and Unauthorized Dissemination of Intelligence Data.

Others arrested include:

Viet Tran, 21, who is charged with Unauthorized Dissemination of Intelligence Data, Disorderly Conduct, Interference With Official Acts, and a Probation Violation.

Tiana Warner, 21 years old is charged with Criminal Mischief, related to damage done in a protest at the SE 14th Street Hy-Vee, June 20th. Police say Warner turned herself into police today (Thursday).

Jaylen Cavil, 23, is charged with Interference With Official Acts

Police are still reviewing body cam footage and social media postings, and more arrests are possible.
