The Clippers released Chris Paul last night in a stunning move and Doug Gottlieb is shocked that they would treat one of their all-time greats this way. Despite bringing legitimacy to the struggling franchise during his tenure, he was unceremoniously kicked to the curb by the same team he helped build.
Doug Gottlieb: “A guy who was, uh, he's going to be a hall of fame player. He was head of the players’ association. He's one of, if not the most premier true point guard we've had in years, like since Jason Kidd, he's probably the best pure point guard. And yet he goes back to the team that he brought legitimacy to and couldn't even make it to the midway point of the season.”
