The North Carolina Tar Heels rolled over San Diego State in last night’s First Four and Dan is prepared to hear it from the Tar Heels faithful after he was adamant that they didn’t deserve to be playing in the first place. If they are expecting an apology for his opinion, they can expect to be disappointed. Even if they go on a deep run in the tournament, it doesn’t change the fact that their subpar season didn’t deserve to be rewarded with a tournament bid.
Dan Patrick: “This doesn’t prove really anything. I know this is where Tar Heel fans will say, ‘oh, are you going to apologize today?’ No [laughter], for what? I didn’t think you deserved to be in the tournament.”
