Everyone seems to be trying to find excuses to discount Bam Adebayo’s 83-point performance last night, but Dan reminds us that Kobe wouldn’t have had an issue with it so neither should any of us.
Dan Patrick: “I don't agree that out of respect to Kobe (Bryant) you take Bam Adebayo out. Yeah, I mean Kobe may not like his, and it's not even a record; it's the second highest scoring mark. I'm sure that he'd be like, ‘Hey, you know, I would never come out if it was the other way around.’ If Michael Jordan had 81 and Kobe had a chance to beat him, what would he do? He would certainly go out and try to beat him. So, let's just be fair to the situation here. And I don't know if we are, because I think we have a problem with; it's Bam Adebayo, and he did it against the Wizards, and something was nefarious there in the closing minutes there, the number of free throws that he took, he's not a great scorer. I understand all of that. He still scored 83.”
