Chris Broussard & Rob Parker Call Out Channing Frye For Michael Jordan Diss

Channing Frye: “He only had really one job. And that was to just score. And he did that at an amazing, amazing rate. I don’t feel like his way of winning then would translate to what it is now. Guys wouldn’t want to play with him.”

Listen to former NBA player Channing Frye join The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker to discuss his controversial comments regarding Michael Jordan that went viral this week at the conclusion of ESPN’s ‘The Last Dance’ documentary.

Frye said on the Talkin’ Blazers podcast that Jordan 'only had one job’ as a star player in the NBA, and said that all Jordan did was 'just score'. Fyre went on to say that Jordan’s brutal and unforgiving style of winning would not translate to today’s NBA when it came to motivating modern players.

The comments were obviously not taken too well by Broussard and Parker, and by the growing Jordan contingent on social media that has used the 5 week run time of the documentary to crush any LeBron James stan in their path.

Fyre admits he’s not a ‘Jordan guy’, saying he grew up a Phoenix Suns fan, and remembers watching the 1993 NBA Finals between Jordan’s Bulls and Charles Barkley's Suns. Fyre was also a teammate of LeBron in Cleveland, and was a member of their championship team in 2016.

Listen to the audio above as Rob and Chris try and talk sense into Frye, who may have tried to clarify his polarizing remarks just a bit.
